For the detection of wax adulteration, we use a new method - FTIR-ATR (Attenuated Total Reflectance Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy). We are detecting as little as 3% stearin and 3% paraffin.

HoneyLab Teper & Waś laboratory was established out of passion and years of experience in research of bee products. For many years, we have participated in the expert panels of the International Honey Commission (IHC). Dariusz Teper, PhD., is an IHC specialist in pollen analysis; Ewa Waś, PhD., is an expert in quality testing of bee products, particularly in the detection of beeswax adulteration. We would like our cooperation to be based on professional and reliable knowledge.
